What are Clinical Exercises?
Research shows that in all diagnosed and treated diseases, if the patient is active and exercises in a way that will not harm them, the complaints of the disease are less and the progression of many diseases is slower.
The aim of clinical exercise programs is to implement the exercise and activity programs that should be applied as a rule in the mentioned disease groups without causing complications. Attention should be paid to the pulse and blood pressure ranges in which the patient should work and the issues he/she should pay attention to.
Why is Clinical Exercise Performed?
It is an exercise done to slow down the progression of diseases that have been diagnosed and are currently being treated and to reduce their complications. Examples of these diseases are:
- Coronary heart disease,
- Hypertension,
- Hypercholesterolemia,
- Diabetes,
- COPD,
- Obesity.
It is an exercise program that complies with the rules, under the leadership of a Sports and Exercise Physician and the supervision of a knowledgeable physiotherapist, by monitoring the patient's parameters such as pulse, blood pressure, blood sugar and blood oxygen level.
We follow the American College of Sports Medicine and American Heart Association guidelines and recommendations in clinical exercise programs.
