The logic behind dry needling is stimulating superficial nerves to reduce pain. Acupuncture needles are inserted into skin not deeper than subcutaneous tissue.
We utilise this method frequently in the treatment of myofascial trigger points originating from muscles, tendons and ligaments, and chronic soft tissue pain. Examples of areas of application are are spinal muscles, ITB soreness/stiffness, and other muscle pains.
