What is Manual Medicine?
Manual medicine is using certain hand techniques to bring certain aspects of the musculoskeletal system to normal. The aim of manual techniques is to increase joint movement, to release the tissues surrounding the joints, and to gain flexibility in muscles or tendons.
Where Do We Use Manual Medicine?
We often use manual medicine techniques in joint and spine stiffness (stiff joints, scoliosis, posture problems), soft tissue stiffness (eg. joint contracture/stiffness, muscle and fascia stiffness, plantar fasciitis, patellar hypermobility) and shoulder dysfunctions (stiff shoulders).
